CENTRAL SPRINGS SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION SPECIAL MEETING
MINUTES - January 15, 2025
The Special Board meeting for the Central Springs Community School Board was held in the
Board Room at Nora Springs on January 15, 2025. The meeting was called to order at 6:00
p.m. by President Jean Schilling. Other Board members present were Josh Berman, Joe
Rowe, Sean Arthur and Ashley Kohler. Also present were Board Secretary Jackie Dalluge and
Communication/HR Director Anna Blair. Chris Arians and Bill Shafer joined via Google Meet at
6:10 p.m.
Motion was made by Kohler and seconded by Berman to approve the agenda as presented.
Motion carried unanimously.
Trent Grundmeyer from Grundmeyer Leader Services was present at the meeting to discuss
the Superintendent Search schedule for January 23rd and February 3rd. He presented a
slideshow which gave a broad overview of the 9 applicants that applied to our superintendent
search that closed on January 5th. He also talked about the schedule for candidate interviews
on February 3, 2025.
Motion was made by Rowe and seconded by Arthur to move into closed session to review the
Superintendent Candidates according to Iowa Code 21.5 (1)(i). Motion carried unanimously.
The board entered closed session at 6:25 p.m.
Motion was made by Kohler and seconded by Berman to come out of closed session at 8:20
p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Kohler and seconded by Rowe to adjourn the Board Meeting. Motion
carried unanimously. President Schilling adjourned the meeting at 8:21 p.m.
